Celebrating Books Coached by Our Community
Writing a book is no small feat. Behind every polished manuscript and captivating story is a journey filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and growth. For many writers, that journey is made possible through the support of Author Accelerator Certified Book Coaches—professionals who guide, inspire, and help bring ideas to life.
Our coaches have had the privilege of walking alongside talented authors as they turn their dreams into published works. These books are more than just words on a page; they’re the result of collaboration, passion, and hard work. They represent stories that matter, voices that deserve to be heard, and writers who’ve boldly shared their vision with the world.
In this post, we’re proud to showcase some of the incredible books our coaches have had the honor of supporting. Each one is a testament to the power of partnership, creativity, and perseverance. These are the books that make us proud to say, “We were part of this journey.”
Robin Nemesszeghy - Brianna Wolfe’s My God Is So Big: Juju's Story: One little girl's miraculous journey from brain injury to recovery
“It is an amazing story, and reading the reviews, I can see it has touched many hearts since its release. The author is also such an amazing client and inspiring person, and I’m so grateful to have been able to help her get her story out there!”

Janet Fox - Susan Greenway’s Elephant Touch
“That book made me cry each and every time I read it - and we worked together for over a year. It is a masterful middle grade novel of a girl's grief and recovery through an experience with elephants.”

Sharon Skinner - Adam March’s Mariner’s Wake
“I am proud to have helped Adam Marsh fine-tune his story and polish his prose for his book Mariner’s Wake, which garnered a Kirkus starred review. Adam is a talented writer, who took the feedback I provided and incorporated it into a deeply layered near-future post-apocalyptic technothriller.”
Debra Gitterman - Sharon Virts’ Masque of Honor
“I'm proud to have helped Sharon Virts edit her manuscript and find the story arc of Masque of Honor, a 19th Century American coming-of-age historical novel set in Virginia. I'm most proud of having been able to persuade Sharon, after a significant first edit, that her manuscript still wasn't ready to send to agents and to do several more edits than she expected to have to do.”

Candace Coakley - Anne Abel’s Mattie Milo, and Me: A Memoir
“I'm incredibly proud of my client and fellow dog lover Anne Abel, who published her memoir Mattie, Milo, and Me with She Writes Press. Helping her craft this poignant story about severe depression was rewarding. Bonus: her memoir was recently featured on a billboard in Times Square.”
Trisha Loehr - Brenna Bailey’s Forever in Flowers
“While I’ve had the joy of working with Brenna on multiple projects, I think my fave is Forever in Flowers. I was and am thrilled to have helped Brenna Bailey figure out what her character really wanted in Forever in Flowers and help her brainstorm ideas to ensure there was enough tension to keep the story moving forward but also maintain the cozy, low angst feel she wanted.”

Christina Larocco - Norman E. Donoghue II’s Prisoners of Congress: Philadelphia’s Quakers in Exile, 1777–1778
“Ned was my very first (going all the way back to 2017!) book coaching client, though I didn't even know at the time that book coaching was a thing! He came to me with a marvelously researched manuscript that was stuck in the going-from-document-to-document phase. We worked a ton on finding the spine of his book, and he eventually published with a prestigious university press to critical acclaim. So proud of him!”
Michelle Bish - Dr. Arlene Dijamco’s I AM Intuitive: A MultiDimensional Guide to Embrace Your Inner Light
“Dr. Arlene Dijamco and I started working together when her idea was a seed. She initially thought it would grow into a book to help her fellow MDs bring multidimensional healing into medicine but that wasn't meant to be her first book. Instead the book that needed to be in the world first is for her patients, to help them tap into and develop their intuition for healing.
Just like Arlene, this book has beautiful energy. You can read it from beginning to end or you can open the book to a random page and you will find what you need. The ebook is coming this fall and the audiobook is underway - Arlene is reading it herself, as requested by her patients. In addition to her clinical practice and writing, Arlene worked on building her platform and course offerings and is really well positioned from all her hard work.
During the writing process, a number of future book ideas sprouted and we put them on her future book roadmap. Her initial book idea for MDs will live in the world one day.”

Susan DeFreitas - Varun Gauri’s For the Blessings of Jupiter and Venus
“I'm super proud of [Varun]. He worked so hard on this novel--with me, before he started working with me, and afterward too. 200 + agent rejections, and then he finally won a contest where the award includes publication. I hope it goes on to win awards. It should!”
Leanne Phillips - Jim Ormond’s The Hudson Valley Corvette Club
“I'm proud of this one because it's the first time a client I've worked with on a book has had that book published [in January 2025]. After [my manuscript assessment] he worked on revisions on his own, he hired me for copyediting and again to help him develop a pitch package. After 100 agent rejections, he decided to query publishers who accepted unagented submissions and quickly got an acceptance from this ebook publisher. He is happy to get the book out there and is working on his second novel.”

Julie Artz - Suzette Mullen’s The Only Way Through is Out
“I'm so proud of the work I did with Suzette Mullen’s fabulous memoir, The Only Way Through is Out, which published with University of Wisconsin Press earlier this year. Not only was she one of my earliest book coaching clients, but we went through multiple rounds of revision--including some fairly major pivots--to get to this book that is now getting so many kudos out in the marketplace. It was an absolute honor to be a part of Suzette's story and, at the same time, a real challenge when we had to decide whether or not to dig in for revisions one. more. time. Obviously, I'm so pleased she said yes!”

Suzette Mullen - Sarah Wells’ Go Ask Your Mothers: One Simple Step for Managers to Support Working Moms for Team Success
“I am so proud of my client Sarah Wells whose book is getting the accolades it deserves—and has the potential to profoundly impact workplaces of all shapes and sizes for moms returning to work.
Together, Sarah and I ran the tape on this one: from a glimmer of an idea, to a full blueprint, to a book proposal, to agent research and guidance, to finishing your manuscript once she had a book deal.
It's been a thrill to watch this entrepreneur and advocate step even more fully into her power!”

Lane Arnold - Summer Joy Gross’ The Emmanuel Promise: Discovering the Security of a Life Held by God
“Every Monday morning for a few years, over cups of tea across Zoom spaces, I listened and encouraged Summer Joy Gross, retreat leader, spiritual director, Anglican priest, and first-time author. She wrestled words and emotions to the page for her book The Emmanuel Promise: Discovering the Security of A Life Held by God. To watch vulnerability and wonder converge on the page became a place of diligence and delight on both of our parts. I heard the bubble of joy in sparks of ideas, saw the fizzle as doubts doused thoughts, felt the deep sigh of hope when a new path would open up. As Summer noted in her Acknowledgments, my being half writing coach and half spiritual director tapped into what this traditionally-published author needed to bring her words into the world. A Top New Release, her book contains a plethora of ideas involving her personal story, attachment theory, ancient spiritual practices, and rich encounters with God. I’m mighty proud I was part of accompanying the author on her winding road to publication.”

Christine Sheehy - Kat Corbett’s Say Yes to Work You Love (and No to Work You Don't)
“It's tempting to pick the books that have been published by big publishing houses, but right now I'm feeling very proud of my client, marketing coach Kat Corbett who has self published her book Say Yes to Work You Love (and No to Work You Don't) about how to find your profitable niche as a coach or consultant.
Kat chose to do a couple of brave things.
She's sharing her methodology - putting it out there in a book, where anyone (including competitors and potential clients) can read it. She's chosen to back herself and her ideas, knowing that no one can truly replicate what she offers as a coach, and that by putting her IP into a book, she's claiming her place as a leader in her field.
She wrote a very short book. It's only 84 pages in large type. You can read it in a sitting - and that's the point. You understand her process very quickly but the application and implementation is where Kat's genius also comes in, and she's showcasing that beautifully. Some people may read it and be able to do the work without her help and that's ok - she's making an impact, they're getting results and will likely become ambassadors for her book (and work).
She says book coaching was instrumental in bringing this to the page AND refining the coaching model in the process, so the work of writing this book has had a big impact on her practice.
The book is having an immediate impact and people are talking on social about the immense value they have derived from reading it. I was recently part of a LinkedIn training course where the facilitator had bought a copy for everyone on the call and made it required reading - talk about proud book coach moment!”
Stuart Wakefield - Margaret McNellis’ Daughter of the Seven Hills
“What a dream it was to work with Margaret on this manuscript assessment. I always learn amazing new things from historical fiction novelists, and Margaret was no exception. As a fan of Ancient Greece, it was a blast to be thrown in the world of Ancient Rome circa 100 CE. And our post-feedback call was filled with joyous laughter as well as deep thinking work!
The Historical Novel Society’s review says it all: In a riveting tale of sacrifice and finding one’s identity among the shambles of an old life, author Margaret McNellis brings Aurelia and ancient Rome to life vividly in this thrilling narrative. Readers will cry between smiles and cheer on the protagonists every step of the way. Hold your breath because the battle for Britain—and freedom—is now underway.”
